Lead Manufacturing Engineer

My client is looking for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in the heart of the South West.

The proudly hold over 100 patients and have another 400+ pending, so are sure to make a huge impact in the medical device market once the planned commercial launch in the near future.
As my client prepares for exciting period of expansion a growth they have the opportunity of Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. Fundamentally you will be the transitional bridge between Product development and manufacturing departments.
You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of the transition and hand over of products (instruments and generators) from the product development phase into manufacturing, both internally at Creo and at sub contract / outsourced manufacturers.
The role will involve initial hand overs of designs for manufacture, managing and implementing all necessary changes and optimisations that are identified post-handover in the products and processes. Working closely with Creo manufacturing and external sub contract / out sourced manufacturers ensure repeatable and reliable products, through a thorough V&V process, are manufactured to achieve the high-quality standards required, supporting the development and implementation of robust manufacturing solutions.
Achieving Quality, Cost and Delivery will be a key focus of this role working closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Supplier Development Quality Engineer to develop the efficient and reliable manufacturing capability of sub contract / outsourced manufacturers and critical suppliers.
The successful candidate will have a background of Design and Development of electronic and mechanical medical devices including process and design FMEA. you'll also be a strong leader, liaising with suppliers, extensive use of problem solving tools with the ability to carry out FMEA on complex electromechanical designs and assemblies.
Additionally, you'll be experienced with Validation & Verification along with quality standards specifically ISO9001 and ISO13485.
