This family-owned business in Slough is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to collaborate on the design and manufacture of their range of electronics products. Due to an increasing number of new product opportunities and exciting projects on the horizon, my client is now looking to expand their R&D Department.

This company are a World leader in power quality products, solar products and other electronics products in a similar field. The company has been providing solutions to the Energy sector for almost 40 years and have built a close-knit team who strive for the best in everything they do.

To be the successful candidate for this role, you will have a firm understanding of designing sheet metal enclosures, ideally for electronic/electrical products, and great 3D CAD skills. My client uses Autodesk Inventor, but they are happy to help you transition from a similar CAD package.

In this role, you will be able to work independently as well as in small teams, their R&D department is currently made up on 6 people. You will be aware of the need of an industrial company to produce reliable products, to specification, on time and within defined cost constraints. You will also be expected to see a product from initial specification, through design, testing, into production and give ongoing support, and be flexible in the tasks you undertake.

In return, my client is offering a base salary of £35,000-£45,000 Per Annum, 22 days holiday (plus 3 discretionary days between Christmas and New Year), company pension scheme and Death in Service benefit.
