Job Role: Product Manager

Contract: 1-year Fixed contract (40 hours)

Who will you be working for?

iO Associates have paired with a government body who are looking to take on a product manager on a 12-month contract bases. They are responsible for delivering and developing key products that meet the needs of the customer focussing on technical innovation.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for gathering product requirements - ratifying them against company strategies, business goals and customer needs.

You will own and prioritise the development of products and services including quality requirements, definitions of done and acceptance criteria to ensure the product or service reflects user needs and business benefits.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Key member of the Agile delivery team to adapt, challenge, reflect and improve ways of working, to deliver effective solutions.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of user needs
  • Develop current and potential customer domain knowledge and product expertise- translating into user stories for the development team
  • Maximise the value delivered in a development - considering the balance between delivering business benefits and responding to end user needs
  • Manage dependencies of a development on other directly/ indirectly related systems or products.

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge og Agile methodologies and how product owner works with Agile development
  • Strong user/ customer focus with experience building trusted relationships and using that to improve products/ services
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to problem solve, identify priorities and risk.
  • Working in multi-faceted teams with evidence of strong communication skills including influencing and negotiating.
  • Experience with government digital services/ service manual and standards.
