Located in the Northern region of Germany in Bremen.

This company has worked as part of prominent space programs such as ExoMars (Mars mission) Copernicus (meteorological satellite) and JUICE (Jupiter mission). They are working to develop hardware and software solutions and computer technologies as well as innovative communication systems for space applications

Job Opening:

Due to recent success, this company has been able to expand further. With this expansion, a technical leadership role has become available. Working on developing high-end electronic systems for the aerospace / space / defence industries alongside like-minded individuals. Helping to parve a way into the future in these sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Requirements engineering - supporting a project system engineer in customer requirements analysis, requirements management, HW/SW functional partitioning, SW requirements specification.
  • Aiding in the design of SW and its interfaces, authoring SW design and interface control documents (in English). Also, the analysing SW performance
  • Technical planning test, verification and validation plans for SW.
  • Participation in SW coding/low-level testing
  • Carry out the testing, verification, and validation of SW

What does this role require?

  • At least 3+ years of experience in embedded software within the space sector
  • Proficient knowledge in the use of C / C++ programming language
  • Ability to work closely with a team
  • Knowledge and a good understanding of software standards (ECSS standards are a bonus).
  • A disciplined, self-sufficient, and accountable approach to work, as well as a high level of quality awareness
  • Experience with RTOs
