Are you a Server Engineer in the first few years of your career looking to make a step up?

You have an opportunity to join a well-established team, supporting them in the upgrade and maintenance of Windows & Linux servers on a project distributing information that millions of people across the country utilise daily.

As a Server Engineer you will be:

• Supporting the design, build & testing on various projects

• Participating in training and research on new functionalities & technologies
• Reporting to a Senior Engineer, taking responsibility for the task's technical output, documentation & quality

To step into this role, you will have:

• 1+ years hands on experience of installing and configuring Microsoft or Linux servers.
• Practical experience in Microsoft server and client implementation, configuration and testing (ideally holding Microsoft qualifications)
• Experience of Windows Server Hyper-V (virtualisation), design, implementation, configuration and testing
• Software scripting
• Excellent communication skills

** You will be given in depth training for either Microsoft or Linux if lacking skills **

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge and experience of security and event monitoring tools
• Knowledge of MOD networks and systems
