Automation Engineer (12 month Contract)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, programming, and testing automation systems using industry-standard tools, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements.
  • Develop automation functions and support their integration into existing systems.
  • Facilitate project coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication and efficient project progress.
  • Maintain and support automation systems post-implementation, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Oversee subsystem integrations, ensuring seamless operation across all components.
  • Lead commissioning activities and drive optimisation of automation solutions


Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Hold a degree or recognised qualification as a state-certified technician, electrical engineer, or similar.
  • Demonstrate at least three years' hands-on experience in automation system design, programming, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal / PCS7
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German, with a good command of English.
  • Strong customer service ethos and the ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Previous experience in automation projects
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance related to automation.
  • Experience with HMI development and control system integration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and communicate complex technical information clearly.
