iO Associates have partnered with a long-standing Food Production business based in Shepton Mallet. They are looking for a CI Manager to implement a strategy of Lean and Continuous Improvement to all operational areas on site.

This will be achieved by developing and improving a highly visible performance management system to fuel a culture of engagement, cross-functional team-work and operational excellence with an emphasis on quality, cost reduction and performance improvement.

You will be developing, implementing, and facilitating a performance management system throughout the business to help support the focus on top-losses to drive improvements. All whilst taking full responsibility for Lean & Continuous Improvement (CI) maturity across the business.

Another part of the role will be developing, monitoring, and reporting CI savings budget in collaboration with the finance dept with responsibility for tracking of actions captured in management meetings to instil a culture of action commitment and timely delivery across the team.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Having strong communication skills to manage the internal and external stakeholder expectations required to develop a culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Qualified in Lean, Six Sigma courses with proven ability to manage organisational culture change in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to use MS office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to analyse and present findings of studies
  • Extensive experience in improving food manufacturing processes
  • Implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to review KPI performance metrics to drive improvement.

In return you will receive a package including:

  • Contractual Hours - 40 per week
  • Salary range - £35,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience.
