Located in the Switzerland FinTech hub, Zug. We are seeking the skills of an establish Data Engineer.

The customer is within the latest WEB3 space, specialising in Digital Asset Management. You will be tasked with enhancing data production infrastructure and pipelines.

Salary is up to 130,000 CHF

Hybrid working model from Zug, Switzerland.

English speaking is necessary

We can process workers from outside Switzerland (EU ONLY)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design high-availability data pipelines for algorithmic trading
  • Develop, expand, and maintain a suite of databases and data sources
  • Ensure data quality in a high velocity and big volume environment
  • Contribute and build the future of our data platform, create pipelines and automate tasks
  • Work with trades and quotes data, as well as on-chain transaction data
  • Be a link between technology and quant research, providing new and innovative solutions

Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with financial data is preferred
  • Experience in preferably two or more high-level languages (eg, Python/Rust/C#/etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and container environments (ie, Docker/Kubernetes) is preferred
  • Experience with using relational databases (eg, PostgreSQL) and in-memory key-value databases (eg, Redis) is a plus
  • Experience building ETL pipelines in the cloud (ie, Azure/AWS/GCP) is a plus
  • Experience with REST, Websocket, and FIX Protocol is a plus
  • English professional proficiency

Desirable:

  • Experience with message-brokers and queuing protocols
  • Experience with high performance low latency systems
  • Familiarity with an algorithmic trading environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Blockchain and DeFi sectors
