Embedded Software Engineer

Location of work: Fully remote working

Contract length: 3 months initially (likely extension due to the number of projects)

IR35 status: Outside IR35

The Project: You will be writing embedded c software for a real-time telematic tracking device.

The team are currently migrating to new embedded microcontrollers due to the component shortage issues. Whilst they have improved their embedded software architecture with a Hardware Abstraction Layer and well on their way to getting their GD 105 uC ready there is need for the same activity running in parallel on the GD 405 uC rather than only starting after the 105 port is done.

As such my client is looking to hire two embedded software contractors ASAP who can support with this task work.

Key Skills required:
* Embedded C
* Strong Microcontroller/ Microprocessor experience (ideally writing microcontroller drivers up to and including hardware abstraction layers)

Desirable experience:
* IoT device experience (Cellular, GNSS, BLE)
* Continuous Integration and automated test experience
* GigaDevice experience

Interview process: A one stage interview can be quickly arranged. It is highly desirable that you can start work within two weeks.

Salary: £45.00-£50.00 per hour
