iO Associates have partnered with a Food manufacturer based in Leicester in the search for a Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team on site.

This company has grown and exceled over recent years and their products are appearing in more outlets all the time. They have a passion for what they do, and need you to ensure their engineers are fully trained and motivated to keep the equipment functioning and the products flying out the door!

People are at the heart of everything they do, and they look for people with a "can-do" attitude which has ultimately led them to build a high performing, close knit team producing high quality products with a personal touch.
lYou will actively promote a culture of continuous improvement and manage a team of 10 engineers to deliver safe and proficient engineering services across the site.

You will have oversight for all engineering activities including facilities in addition to the plant equipment. You will also be responsible for internal and external engineering resources, ensuring the team deliver results consistently over the 24/7 shift pattern.

Your success will be measured across a multitude of factors, however there is a strong focus on staff training and development so you will need proven experience in upskilling a team of engineers.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Strong Leadership skills and ability to manage and develop a high performing team
  • Extensive experience working in FMCG/Food sector (especially manufacturing)
  • Proven track record for delivering Continuous Improvement and Change initiatives
  • Electrical / Mechanical qualification
  • Experience in process improvement tools and methodology
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

The role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week (08:30-17:30) and in return you will receive a salary of up to £55,000, 25 days holiday plus BH, a 4% matched contributory pension and Death in service.
