iO Associates have partnered up with a global manufacturer within the FMCG industry. They have enjoyed prolific success over the last 80 years and are on the lookout for a multi skilled engineer to join their team working night shifts on a panama shift pattern (more details about shifts at the bottom).


The role will involve duties such as proactive maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding and continuously improving plant performance, while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will also take responsibility for continuous improvement of a specific area using good manufacturing and engineering practices.


You will come from a strong manufacturing background and have high capabilities on both the electrical and mechanical aspects of maintenance engineering.

Ideally you will have experience within an FMCG environment This role is a multiskilled role & will require knowledge of both electrical & mechanical disciplines. It will also require an individual who can operate in various situations and environments.

You will need a proven engineering background through formal engineering qualification to at the least City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical and/or electrical subject area, and practical working experience. You will be excellent at working within a team and autonomously when required, with a confident communication style to empower and mentor colleagues to develop their engineering skills.

  • Permit to work trained
  • Ability to train effectively
  • Sophisticated PLC Skills (highly desirable)



Work patterns: Panama shift

You will be required to work 12-hour shifts fixed nights (6pm-6am). You will work to a pattern: Monday to Thursday week one, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday week two, Friday Saturday and Sunday week three and Wednesday, Thursday week four. So, you will have two weekends off a month.
