An new opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join a highly desirable, high-precision design engineering and manufacturing business in Leicester.

This is a family-feel business with close to 200 staff who love to celebrate their many successes, so a quarterly social event is not uncommon. They are also firm believers in a healthy work/life balance, so at 1pm on a Friday it's tools down and the weekend is yours!

The company manufactures the majority of it's products right here in the UK, so you will have the ability to head down to their on-site manufacturing facility to work with Production teams to realise your designs and work together to see your ideas come to life.

The ideal candidate for them will be academically qualified with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, have gained at least 3 years experience covering Mechanical Design, CAD modelling, FEA, vibration analysis and be hands-on with a firm understanding of the workshop processes.

Technical skills aside, they are looking for good old fashioned problem solvers, people who love to be creative and who love overcoming challenges, in their spare time and at work.

For the suitable candidate and with the right dedication, you will have the potential to progress into a more Senior Engineer role within 2/3 years and work on full NPD projects or bespoke special application projects.

In return, my client are offering a salary of between £30,000-£40,000 Per Annum, as well as flexible working arrangment which allows for some remote working and a half day on a Friday.
