Mechanical Engineer

Cambridge

£40,000 - £50,000 Per Annum

A well-established industrial machinery manufacturer near Cambridge are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them in design, build and test projects with bespoke machines that are shipped out across the Globe.

This company are currently experiencing their best year ever with increasing sales and lots of new projects coming in. They are a medium sized enterprise with just over 60 people currently employed, but with this increase in demand, are now looking to recruit more people into several departments across the business.

You will be joining a team of six other Mechanical Engineers of mixed experience levels; you can expect to join them in designing and developing new products from concept through testing to finished product. The ideal candidate will have around 3-5 years' worth of experience and there will be realistic opportunities for you to be able to quickly progress into more Senior roles.

Key Skills Required:

  • 3D CAD Design (preferably Solidworks PDM)
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) understanding
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations (such as flow rate)
  • Familiar working with industrial machinery, as well as vacuum systems, pumps, pressure systems or PLCs

In return, my client is offering a competitive salary between £40,000-£50,000 Per Annum, as well as 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), company pension scheme, AXA healthcare and annual company bonus.
