Mechanical Engineer - Fully Remote Working - 6 Month FTC (Contractors considered)

I have been exclusively engaged in the search for a Mechanical Engineer who is able to work autonomously on a 6-month project to design and develop two products in this company's range of rotating equipment.

The project is to design two new, innovative winch systems and assist with completing acceptance testing on one of the already completed designs. These winch products are manufactured and sold by the company globally.

You must demonstrate relevant experience with winch/spool design and associated electrical systems. Proven experience with rotary equipment, motors, gears, turbines or similar would be highly advantageous.

You will need to demonstrate experience in scoping the market for suitable components for your designs that meet the design specification and budget constraints, so experience evaluating and designing to CE requirements would be useful.

They are ideally looking for an immediate starter and someone who can hit the ground running, therefore proven experience using Solidworks 3D CAD is essential.

The role will be fully remote working with occasional trips required to the office. The role is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract with the potential for an extension to work on an additional project that this company has in the pipeline.
