Are you an MRB/MAP Specialist with Airbus experience?
Would you like a freelance/contract opportunity in Portugal for at least a year?
Duration: 12 months

Rate: €30-€40ph
In response to ongoing growth and strategic initiatives, my client is seeking an MRB/MAP Specialist to strengthen their engineering team onsite at a key customer location in the Greater Porto area. This role is pivotal in supporting aerospace development and production activities, contributing significantly to project outcomes. The position offers an exciting chance to influence critical engineering processes and work alongside a diverse international team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigations related to non-conformities and decide on appropriate technical dispositions such as use-as-is, repair, rework, or scrap
- Contribute to MAP Task 100, supporting design engineering efforts and providing technical input on non-conformities
- Collaborate with stress and design engineers to develop effective repair or rework strategies
- Assist in the industrialisation of new processes during the mise au point phase
- Ensure detailed traceability and adherence to internal and customer standards
- Maintain accurate technical documentation within ERP and PLM systems, including SAP and Teamcenter
- Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to identify root causes and implement corrective measures
- Drive the continuous enhancement of MRB and MAP procedures and workflows
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within the aerospace industry, focusing on MRB, MAP, stress analysis, and design engineering
- In-depth knowledge of Airbus MAP Task 100 methodology
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing techniques, including metallic and composite components
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
- Proficiency in stress analysis, repair validation, and producibility engineering
- Experience with CATIA V5 for 3D modelling, drawing creation, and design updates
- Familiarity with ERP and PLM tools, such as SAP and Teamcenter
- Fluency in English is required, Portuguese would be beneficial also.
