Operations Manager

My client, a food manufacturer based in Brecon are looking for Operations Manager with a background in H&S to support their site.

In this role you will manage the overall operations and be responsible for the effective and successful management of staff, productivity, quality control and safety measures.

You'll be recruiting and developing your team, ensuring the HSE requirements are in place and implementing and managing Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles by identifying deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes

You'll need to be hands on and have the ability to build a common consensus and relationships with managers and employees whilst having the vision and forward thinking nature to add to their short and long term strategies. #

Currently due to COVID they are running a reduced shift pattern of 32 hours a week over 4 days instead of 40 hours over 5 days, which they plan to return to ASAP.

The current shift pattern is 6am - 2pm, 8am - 4pm and 10pm - 6am. You would be required to work approx one night shift a quarter. Once normal hours return the shift pattern will be 2pm-10pm instead of 8am -4pm.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Experience in management, operations, and leadership.
• Experience in running busy FMCG department
• NEBOSH or equivalent desirable
• Level 3 HACCP Food Manufacturing
• Green belt in Six Sigma desirable

In return you will receive a salary of around £42,000-£44,000 as well as
