iO are currently working with a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Swindon in their recruitment for an Automation Engineer to provide continuous improvement and support for global automation projects.


The company specialise in developing products across multiple applications within the Pharamceutical sector including the production of EpiPen's; ventilators; In Vitro Diagnostics and Drug delivery systems so the work is extremely varied and the projects will range in value between £100,000 and Multi-millions.

The core responsibility of this role will be to bring automated assembly machines to site, working at Machine Builders doing machine build system definite and will focus on 3 core areas; capacity expansion (repeat build or addition to current machine); NPI or Continuous Improvement.
In order to be considered, for this role you will need experience in the following fields:

  • High experience working with PLCs (Manufacturer isn't important as long as you have good exposure).
  • Working under pressure and with experience working with stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Expeirence in regulated environments.
