Principal Electronics Engineer

Location: Cambridge

Salary: up to £70,000 - £85,000 (DOE)

Our client is an innovation and transformation consultancy with a global network of clients across a diverse range of industries including consumer, defence, energy health and life sciences.

This is an opportunity for a Principal Electronics Engineer to work with a broad and talented group of engineers, innovators, scientists and blue-sky thinkers. You will act as a technical authority, working face to face with clients to bring their designs to life.

Technical skills:

• You will be degree qualified - minimum 2:1 (Electronic Engineering or related subject)
• You will ideally have a background in working with consumer electronics, medical devices, wearable or other IoT devices
• You will have demonstrable experience applying your expertise in analogue and power electronics to a wide-range of problem spaces
• You will be comfortable applying modern simulation tools and techniques to the design process
• You will have exposure to the full product lifecycle from concept generation through to product release
• You will possess a good understanding of the regulatory landscape of the EU and US and a proven track record of designing for compliance with appropriate standards
• You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable explaining technical material in both an informal and formal setting
