Quality Inspector

iO Associates are currently working with a leading manufacturer of precision machined components, primarily for the Aerospace industry, who are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to strengthen the current QC team.

The Role

• Dimensional and visual inspection of components at first off and at final inspection.
• Product inspection and verification of certification at goods inwards.
• Maintaining records associated with inspection activities.
• Completing First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102.

Key Skills

• Competent in accurately interpreting customer drawings and specifications, manufacturing route cards, process instructions and inspection procedures to determine product dimensions and tolerances.
• Competent in using all types of standard measuring equipment (Micrometres, Vernier's, Shadowgraph and hard gauging etc.)
• Competent in the operation and preferably programming of CMM's.
• Able to perform inspection activities with minimum supervision and also work as part of a team.

Experience / Qualifications

• Qualified in mechanical engineering and at least 5 year's experience of performing inspection of various types of precision machined parts preferably within an Aerospace environment.

Hours of work

• 38 hours per week - Shifts 6-2 and 2-10
• Overtime is paid at time and a half during weekdays and Saturdays.
