iO Associates have partnered with a Systems Integrator in Hampshire in their recruitment of a Senior Controls Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The company are an SME business and have steered through the lockdown with aplomb and are now looking at future planning in the organisation, this being a priority role for them.

Systems Integration is a great market to be in right now with a number of companies beginning to experience a resurgence in the market as companies have identified inefficiencies in their operations or new parts of the business to automate, which means new projects and lots of PLCs & SCADAs to write!

This will suit an Engineer who is happy to continue to write PLC and SCADA systems, be client facing to understand the projects needs fully, and take lead and manage projects with more junior Control Engineers.

The company structure adopted by the client ensures the opportunities to continue to develop a strong technical skill set as well as having a great commercial understanding as Engineers are responsible for the whole delivery of PLC/SCADA projects.

What they are looking for:

  • Must have a history within Systems Integrations.
  • 5-10+ years experience in an industrial design environment.
  • Experience in managing multi-skill projects consisting of single controllers in standalone applications.
  • Experience in writing software for PLCs, controllers and computers etc.
  • Configuration of MES systems.
  • Writing up technical manuals for projects.

Role:

  • Manage multi-skilled projects at all levels
