Do you want to help shape the future of mobile broadband?
A leading innovator of high throughput, modular phased arrays is looking for a RF / Analogue Hardware Engineer.
This exciting start up has been taken over by a leading international communications company who have given them significant investment to expand.
You will complement their existing design team and will play a part in designing, verifying and producing board level hardware designs for our clients phased array antenna products.
These roles will be London based and are paying between £50,000 - £65,000 p/a (potential for negotiation DOE).
Essential:
- A good first or upper 2nd Class degree (BEng/MEng) in Electronic/Electrical Engineering from a leading University.
- At least 5 years' experience of complex Analogue and RF circuit design with a proven track record in the data communications or aerospace industries in a product development environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Analogue and RF circuit design techniques from the specification, design and verification phases through to systems integration and manufacture.
- Be able to demonstrate significant experience in the design and characterisation of mixed-signal (Analogue/Digital/RF) multi-layer PCB designs and the associated debug and integration issues.
- Experienced in the layout of high-speed multi-layer PCBs including micro-via technology, stackup constraints and controlled impedance traces and design of impedance matching circuits.
- Highly capable in the design, analysis and characterisation of circuits and systems involving multiple PLLs, frequency synthesizers, NCOs, Modulators, De-Modulators, discrete filters, rat-races and integrating them into board-level designs. Understanding of key performance parameters.
- Design, analysis and layout of point of load power supply design. Familiarity with simulation tools & test methods for transient analysis, loop stability and frequency response analysis.
- Familiarity with schematic capture tools such as Altium Designer and industry standard simulation tools such as TI-SPICE, HSPICE for analogue simulations.
- Ability to liaise with and manage PCB layout engineers, fabricators and assembly houses.
- Skilled at developing and implementing test plans and procedures for the testing of RF and mixed signal based products.
- Conversant with product design for EMC. DFM/DFT for volume manufacture.
- Competent practical experience in the use of test equipment such as scopes, spectrum analysers, PNAs, VNAs, signal generators, power meters.
- Accurate and methodical. Familiarity with current best practise in the industry.
