iO Associates have partnered with a global FMCG business in the search for a Site Services Engineer to join their team in Harlesden. If you have experience of maintaining buildings, building services equipment and you are looking for a varied role offering a competitive salary and good long-term career opportunities, then this role could be for you.

As the Site Services Engineer you will play and integral part in the fast paced manufacturing team and your main aim will be to ensuring the availability of shared site equipment, compressors chillers etc and to ensure regulatory and food compliance for the site is maintained with safe water systems, fire alarms, sprinklers, and maintenance of the building fabric.

The day to day can vary a lot and this is a multi-disciplined role where you will need adaptive to changing priorities and conditions e.g. on one day be working at height and the next down a drain. Typically though you will be carrying out site service PPM tasks, analysing breakdowns and implementing solutions, completing minor building repairs, carrying out site inspections and controlling contractors.

A proven electrical background is essential to this role however you will also need to have a good grasp of basic plumbing and building repairs.

To be successful in this role you will need;

  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, risk assessments and safe systems of work

  • Mechanical and Electrical comprehension skills - Electrical Engineering Background is essential

  • Experience of Facilities/Building Services Maintenance

  • Problem and fault-finding skills

  • Data analysis & interpretation skills

  • Risk assessment trained

  • Permit to work trained

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to operate MEWPS and fork lift trucks.



The role is Monday-Friday, 42.1 hours a week. Flexibility of working hours as required whilst looking after contractors or for training. Occasional weekend work will be required to support factory shutdown.
