Technical Project Manager

Contract: 6 months | Up to £550 per day | Outside IR35 | London (3-5 days per week on-site)

Our client, a major policing organisation, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the upgrade and implementation of their Airwave communications system. You'll take a hands-on leadership role, coordinating technical delivery, managing stakeholders, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end upgrade and implementation of the Airwave system.
Oversee technical integrations, configuration, and rollout activities.
Coordinate with internal teams, policing units, and external suppliers.
Manage risks, issues, timelines, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with police communications and security frameworks.
Drive delivery across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in policing, emergency services, or similarly regulated environments.
Hands-on experience delivering Airwave system upgrades or implementations.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage technical and operational workstreams simultaneously.
SC clearance required; NPPV3 highly desirable.
