Business Development Director (Maritime & Royal Navy)
Location: Bristol with travel to relevant sites
I am working with a UK defence prime who is currently looking to hire a director of business development to support they're growing maritime portfolio.
The role would see you acting as a key point of contact within the business for attraction and winning of projects for the Royal Navy and other maritime and government defence services. You would be a key point of contact for all business units as they look to create a narrative and launch campaigns for maritime-based programmes with values of £10m - £500m+.
This is a key role within the business and will represent their continuing relationship building with the UK Royal Navy and so the individual will need to have an intricate understanding of Royal Navy operations across above and below water and be capable of building relationships with key contacts, creating a narrative and having the capability to identify opportunities for the business across campaigns and sales.
The ideal individual will have come from a Royal Navy background and have moved into business development upon leaving the forces or be someone who has previously, or currently works with senior stakeholders within the UK Royal Navy and has previously run large campaigns for delivery in the maritime domain.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that has won a number of large CAT B programmes with the Royal Navy over the past 18months and is continuing to expand its UK presence. It will offer the right individual the opportunity to lead the narrative of the business and scope out their own path for growth in the UK.
