Title: Power Electronics Engineer
Salary: £55,000 DOE + Bonus and Benefits
Location: Rugby


A position with a well-established, multinational organisation has opened for an experience Power Electronics Engineer. Working on infrastructure, developing, and delivering advanced motor drive and control technologies to marine, energy, and associated industries.


The successful candidate will be working alongside highly skilled engineers on complex problems in a multidisciplinary team. Working on low voltage, medium voltage, and MW-scale power electronics applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver and document power electronics converters to meet technical specifications and provide technical solutions
  • Modelling, simulation, and analysis of converter systems using industry standard applications
  • V&V testing of low-voltage and medium voltage systems
  • Perform customer facing tasks, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors


Experience and requirements

  • Power electronics converter design and control methods
  • Semiconductor device knowledge and hands on experience highly desirable
  • MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, Mathcad or other industry standard electronic design tools
  • Ability to travel within the UK for short term work assignments
  • Ability to obtain SC (must hold a UK passport)
