Permanent Principal Systems Engineers | Preston

iO Associates have partnered with a leading company in the Marine, Land, Aviation, and Nuclear engineering sector. Missions Systems form a critical and growing part of the company's Marine sector and with the growing change in Mission Systems they are looking for an experienced Principal Systems Engineers to be the support to key leaders in forging new paths, leading their teams.

Your role at the company is to undertake Principal Systems Engineering activities and deliver tasks allocated to you, including:

  • Deliver system concepts
  • Determining and managing stakeholder requirements
  • Architectural Design
  • Design for attributes, such as safety, security, ARM
  • Functional analysis
  • Interface management
  • Modelling and simulation
  • Systems integration, verification, and validation
  • Support Managers with business development
  • Provide engineering management expertise and functional management of other engineers

What we are looking for:

  • Considerable knowledge of Engineering discipline
  • Experience of MoD working practices
  • Experience of System Acceptance & Installation Acceptance
  • Ability to achieve appropriate security clearance level

An ideal candidate will also have knowledge or experience in commissioning communications systems and shore facilities, network installation and configuration and Computer System operating systems.
