A client of mine, a family-run company is currently seeking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join their company. The business is an excellent blend of start-up environment but have the experience of a well-established company having been in the finance sector for over 20 years. It currently operates in a number of continents around the world.


We are enhancing our product development team to reduce time to market for an extensive range of new product capabilities and remove reliance on external providers.

Skills and experience:

·Qualifications: Degree-level education at 2:1 level or above is preferable. Technology related subject or demonstrable IT relevance is also desired.
oGood GCSE and A-levels desirable.

·Experience: We are looking for an experienced developer so we expect no less than 7 years working experience in web platform and front-end development. It would be desirable if you have worked on FinTech companies or have experience with financial systems in general - but this is not essential.

·Essential Skills:

oJavaScript (JQuery and JQuery Mobile)
oHTML 5
oCSS
oSQL
oAJAX
oREST/SOAP Web Services
oMVC
oVersion management & unit testing
oExperience with Linux (UBUNTU preferably), incl. Linux server virtualisation

This is a permanent position where you will be working in the company's Bath office. Roughly 15 minutes from Bath Spa Station.
