Systems Engineer - VMware

We are looking for a VMware Engineer who can bring quality and knowledge to challenging environments, located in Switzerland, Zurich.

This is working for a high security customer and will be responsible for the whole VMware infrastructure and components.

You will need to communicate well (In German) maintain active relationships with stakeholders to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of various customer infrastructures.

Salaries range 120-140k ch - dependant on experience/role

Languages - Fluent in German is mandatory for customers, proficient in English desirable.

Office/Remote - 40-60%

The role:

• Ensuring availability according to SLA
• Operation and support of the Windows-based server systems (patching, monitoring and testing)
• Operation and support of the virtualization platforms (VMware, Citrix)
• Creating and updating the system documentation
• Participation in projects and implementation of change requests
• Ensuring release and patch management as well as SW deployment
• System monitoring and automation

your profile

• Several years of operating experience in setting up and operating Windows systems, as well as Active Directory, file and storage systems
• Experience in server and application virtualization (VMware, Citrix, VDI)
• Enjoyment of new technologies and the willingness to further educate yourself accordingly
• Readiness for on-call service and occasional assignments outside of working hours (weekends, evenings)
• Responsible personality with impeccable communication skills and an impeccable record
