Automation Engineer (Long Fixed Term Contract)

Role Summary

We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our Client’s standardisation team. This role emerges from a strategic initiative to enhance the automation of engineering processes by developing and implementing necessary standards. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the company’s operations and contribute to the digitalisation of control system construction, working closely with various departments, including engineering, service, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardise electrotechnical module solutions for project-specific automation tasks in collaboration with project management.
• Clarify electrical engineering details and interfaces, prioritising work and planning capacity.
• Standardise processes, circuit diagrams, and components.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to integrate standard solutions into product configurators for quotation preparation and order processing.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Qualification as a technician or engineer in electrical engineering or automation with relevant professional experience.
• Experience in product and circuit diagram configuration is desirable.
• Knowledge of standards-compliant control cabinet construction and the creation of circuit diagram documentation (EPLAN or similar).
• Proficient in English and competent in computer skills.
• Strong teamwork abilities alongside a structured and analytical approach to work.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Additional experience in innovative automation technologies would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with project management processes may enhance the application.
