Facilities and Operations Co-ordinator
A fast-growing organisation operating within an innovation / technical facility environment is looking to hire a Facilities & Operations Co-ordinator to take ownership of day-to-day site operations, facilities coordination, and administrative support. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving setting.
The role
You’ll be the go-to person for keeping the site running smoothly; coordinating suppliers, supporting internal teams, maintaining compliance, and improving how the facility operates day to day.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations and facilities coordination
- Liaise with contractors/suppliers (repairs, maintenance, servicing, waste, etc.)
- Maintain strong H&S and compliance standards (e.g., COSHH, waste management, site procedures)
- Track actions, schedules, and costs using spreadsheets/reporting tools
- Support internal stakeholders with operational/admin needs
- Drive continuous improvement and support sustainability-aware practices where possible
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and calmly, adapting to changing priorities
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in facilities coordination/operations management (or similar)
- Strong organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable producing basic reporting and tracking using spreadsheets
- Practical problem-solver who can manage multiple workstreams
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience within a technical / industrial / manufacturing / lab / workshop type environment
- IOSH / NEBOSH (or working towards)
- Project coordination / project management experience or qualification
