Working pattern: 20x hours per week (no set days)
Location:

We’re excited to be supporting a large-scale NHS pathology transformation programme and are looking for multiple experienced LIMS Testers to join a major implementation across four NHS Trusts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile programme delivering a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across multiple pathology laboratories simultaneously. Due to the scale of the implementation, we’re looking for experienced testers who can hit the ground running and support the end-to-end testing lifecycle.

Working closely with programme stakeholders, laboratory SMEs and the wider project team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the solution is thoroughly tested, defects are effectively managed, and all testing documentation is completed to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, execute and maintain test scripts
  • Execute functional and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Complete testing documentation throughout the testing lifecycle
  • Raise, manage and track defects through to resolution
  • Maintain accurate defect logs and associated documentation
  • Validate laboratory workflows and business processes
  • Work closely with SMEs and project stakeholders to ensure testing reflects operational requirements

Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience testing a LIMS implementation programme
  • Experience writing and executing test scripts
  • Experience completing testing documentation
  • Experience raising, managing and tracking defects
  • Experience maintaining defect logs and associated documentation
  • Strong understanding of structured software testing methodologies
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced programme environment
  • Laboratory or Biomedical Science background (desirable, not essential)

Why Apply?

  • Join a major NHS pathology transformation programme
  • Fully remote contract
  • Outside IR35
  • Work on a large-scale LIMS implementation
  • High likelihood of extension beyond the initial 4 months
  • Immediate interview process and quick start
  • Opportunity to play a key role in a critical testing workstream

Initial interviews will take place online on Thursday 23rd July 2026. Please apply immediately if you’re interested and have the essential skills outlined above! You can also email me directly with your CV, supporting information, notice period and day/hourly rate expectations to [email protected].
