iO Associates are partnered with a rapidly scaling data consultancy on an exciting project to migrate enterprise-scale data platforms into Microsoft Fabric.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how our client’s next-generation data platform is built, moving beyond traditional architectures to fully leverage the potential of Fabric. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role within a fast-moving environment, perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges and driving modernisation projects forward.


The Role

  • Lead the migration of existing data pipelines and workloads into Microsoft Fabric.

  • Build and optimise ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and PySpark within the Fabric environment.

  • Work across OneLake, Data Factory, and Power BI to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end functionality.

  • Redesign data models and architectures to support real-time analytics and reporting.

  • Implement and uphold data quality, governance, and performance best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver a smooth transition and measurable value.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer in Azure environments.

  • Proven experience working with Azure data platforms and an understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and ETL pipeline development.

  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Data Lake technologies.

  • Experience with data migration or modernisation projects.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently in fast-paced delivery settings.
