Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed optomechanical designs that integrate optical and mechanical components to meet precise specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams-including optical scientists and mechanical engineers-to achieve design objectives.
• Conduct simulations and finite element analysis to validate design performance under operational conditions.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.
• Support prototype development and oversee testing phases to ensure designs meet quality standards.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical insights to refine product performance and manufacturability.
• Assist in resolving complex design challenges through innovative problem-solving approaches.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in designing optomechanical systems, with a solid understanding of optical principles and mechanical engineering concepts.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Experience with optical simulation and analysis tools is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of materials selection and mechanical fabrication processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and create detailed design documentation.
• Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar engineering role within a high-tech environment.
