Role Summary
Our Client is seeking a skilled Project Merging Process Engineer to support their ongoing initiatives during a crucial project phase. This role has emerged due to strategic growth and aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of process equipment close-out and startup activities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring technical readiness and compliance, ultimately contributing to successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and plan all technical activities for process equipment close-out and startup.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions with engineering partners.
  • Manage technical readiness for water runs, mock-up batches, and handover to users and maintenance teams.
  • Review, update, and approve technical documentation, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Organise and deliver user training, facilitating a smooth handover process.
  • Uphold strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical companies and engineering offices, particularly during project handover phases.
  • Strong technical expertise in process equipment, single-use systems, and regulated environments (biologicals/pharma).
  • Proficient in interpreting P&ID and PFD diagrams, with experience in qualification & validation (ASTM E2500).
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to thrive in both formal and informal leadership roles, demonstrating accountability and proactivity.
