iO Associates is proud to partner with a leading aerospace innovator seeking a Senior Electrical Systems (EWIS) Engineer to drive the design, development, and integration of advanced electrical wiring interconnection systems for a groundbreaking new aviation program.
This is a rare opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and compliance of electrical systems throughout the entire lifecycle for a completely new aircraft.
As a key member of a high-performance engineering team, you will lead technical projects and contribute to the end-to-end development of electrical systems, from initial architecture to verification, validation, and certification.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering within the aerospace industry.
Demonstrated expertise in system design, integration, verification, and certification of electrical systems.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD tools and simulation software for electrical system design and layout.
French at B1 level or above; English at B2 level or above.
Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS), utilising CAD tools for schematic design and layout.
Conduct feasibility studies, define system architecture, and perform design reviews to optimize performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Support the integration of electrical systems into aircraft platforms, performing interface control and compatibility assessments to ensure seamless functionality across subsystems.
Define and execute electrical system tests, including functional, environmental, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests.
Analyze test data, identify discrepancies, and recommend design modifications or corrective actions.
Support certification and regulatory compliance activities related to electrical and avionics systems.
Lead technical projects, overseeing schedules, budgets, and resources while mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
Serve as the technical point of contact for internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, preparing and presenting technical reports to senior management.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve integration issues and achieve system-level performance objectives.
