Senior Network Architect – RF / MAC Design

A cutting‑edge robotics company developing next‑generation distributed robotic systems is seeking an experienced wireless systems expert to architect the foundational communication layer that enables large populations of autonomous agents to coordinate in real time.

🔧 The Role: Senior Wireless / RF Systems Engineer

You will design and implement core medium‑access mechanisms and network‑formation logic for distributed robotic agents operating under demanding physical and environmental constraints.

This is not a protocol‑implementation job.
It is foundational systems design where classical networking models no longer apply.

Your work will directly influence how robotic agents interact, collaborate, and maintain coherent collective behaviour.


🧠 What You’ll Do

  • Design low‑level RF communication and medium‑access mechanisms for decentralized robotic systems
  • Define how agents establish and maintain connectivity without central coordination
  • Model and design how local RF rules scale into robust, system‑level behavior
  • Convert physical, energy, and hardware constraints into reliable communication models
  • Prototype and iterate closely with embedded, radio, and distributed‑systems teams
  • Own the architecture of the RF + MAC layer across the platform

📌 Your Profile

You bring 8+ years of professional experience (internships excluded) in:

  • Wireless systems engineering
  • MAC protocol design
  • Distributed RF systems
  • Radio or baseband‑adjacent development

You’ve worked on systems where:

  • Medium access, contention, and timing are central challenges
  • Distributed behavior emerges from local interactions
  • Harsh constraints strongly dictate communication design
  • Hardware‑level realities influence protocol choices

You are motivated by problems where existing RF standards are not enough.
