An innovative aerospace engineering company specialising in the design, development, and operation of small satellites and space systems. It delivers end-to-end solutions spanning mission design, satellite platforms, onboard software, and in-orbit operations, supporting both institutional and commercial clients. The company is recognised for its work in Earth observation and advanced nanosatellite technologies, with a strong focus on high-performance engineering and agile, scalable solutions.

Duties

  • Own end-to-end architecture and performance of SAR systems (space, ground, and processing)
  • Translate mission needs into system requirements with full traceability
  • Lead SAR payload concept definition and system-level trade-offs (performance, orbit, data, processing)
  • Oversee end-to-end performance analysis (resolution, swath, NESZ, coverage, latency)
  • Ensure alignment between payload design, processing, calibration, and data products
  • Support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and in-orbit commissioning/validation
  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and external partners
  • Define SAR data products, processing levels, and performance KPIs

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace, Telecoms, Electronics, or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience in SAR, EO missions, or space systems engineering
  • Strong system-level thinking and experience with complex space systems
  • Solid understanding of SAR principles, performance metrics, and processing chains
  • Experience with requirements management, interfaces, and ground segment architecture
  • Familiarity with space standards (ECSS, NASA, MIL)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
