Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

Rate: £42–£44 per hour Outside IR365

Contract: 12 Months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Structural Designer to join a well-established engineering consultancy delivering critical brownfield modification projects across the UK offshore energy sector.

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you’ll support structural design activities on offshore drilling facilities, contributing to complex modification projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and develop structural design deliverables for brownfield modification projects.
• Create and update structural drawings, layouts and detailed design documentation.
• Work closely with engineers and other disciplines to deliver high-quality design solutions.
• Support project delivery across offshore drilling facilities, ensuring designs are safe, practical and compliant.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input throughout project lifecycles.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Structural Designer within the offshore oil & gas or energy sector.
• Strong background delivering brownfield modification projects.
• Experience working on offshore drilling facilities.
• Proficiency with relevant structural design software and industry drafting standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid offshore certification is essential.
• Able to work in a hybrid arrangement with regular attendance at the Aberdeen office (preferred).
