Avionics Systems Engineer - 12 month Contract in Switzerland

up to 95 CHF per hour depending on experience

EU or Swiss Passport Required - exception only if already holding a Swiss work permit.

My Swiss aerospace client is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer with 7+ years of experience for a 12 month contract, with the strong possibility of a long-term extension.

This role will require you to work as a full-lifecycle Avionics Systems Engineer as part of a highly experienced team, both modifying existing craft, and developing a new aircraft.

Responsibilities would include:

• Lead technical and program efforts related to cockpit controls, encompassing both new developments and modifications.
• Create systems requirement documents and certification engineering reports.
• Manage obsolescence of switches and panels.
• Facilitate collaboration among various stakeholders to optimise cockpit interface design.
• Serve as the primary liaison with system and equipment suppliers.

Requirements from you:

• 7+ years experience in safety-critical engineering
• strong prior experience as a Systems Engineer in aerospace
• Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification requirements or experience in a highly regulated environment - such as Medical Devices etc
• Interest in cockpit control inputs (Human Machine Interface).
• Highly proficient in English; knowledge of German is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through to completion, with a willingness to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
