Business Development Manager - Digital Forensics - Up to £45,000
(Remote - with occasional travel to client sites and company office)
Our client, a leading provider of digital forensics and cyber services, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to support their continued expansion in the public sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in digital forensics and a passion for building client relationships and delivering commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead outreach to prospective clients across the public sector, acting as the first point of contact
* Conduct outbound sales activity via phone, email, social media, and other channels
* Visit client sites to understand technical and operational challenges, and position relevant solutions
* Identify key decision-makers within target accounts and coordinate engagement strategies
* Design and execute business development plans and campaigns
* Prepare and deliver tailored pitches, proposals, and presentations
* Monitor industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to inform business strategy
* Maintain accurate records of lead generation and client interactions using CRM tools
* Work closely with internal sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and maximise conversion
* Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in digital forensics or a closely related technical area
* Proven success in selling into or solving challenges within the UK public sector
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
* Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and resilience in the face of rejection
* Experience using CRM and lead generation tools
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiences alike
* Must be eligible for SC clearance.
Desirable:
- Understanding of broader cyber security or digital investigation landscapes
* Experience with account planning, persona mapping, and strategic campaigns
* Familiarity with UK government procurement frameworks
