Job title: Controls Engineer
Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 DOE
Location: Nuneaton

iO Associates are pleased to say we have just partnered with an exciting start-up in the automotive industry that will change drive quality in modern cars with their ground-breaking technology in active suspension. Looking to onboard a Controls Engineer to design and develop the control systems for the hydraulics within their active suspension systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development of production grade calibration routines, meeting requirements before deployment to the manufacturing line
• Create fault test case and develop real-time fault detection algorithms using DFMEA, simulation, and experimentation
• Work cross-functionally with systems, software and electric motor management teams
• MiL and HiL testing according to ASPICE

Key skills and experience:

• 2+ years in control algorithm development and dynamics
• Experience with algorithm development using MATLAB/Simulink
• MiL and HiL testing
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross functional work

The successful candidate will be working on breakthrough active suspensions systems for the automotive industry. Developing actuator calibration routines, real-time diagnostic algorithms, and fault test cases for the system
