We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support the delivery of a key component within a government Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). This is a fast-paced, high-priority phase of the programme, with delivery targeted for September, and the potential for long-term engagement on a broader multi-year transformation.

You'll be joining a growing team of contractors working with modern Azure tools to deliver real impact across the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development and delivery of a secure, scalable data platform using Azure services.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet critical delivery milestones.
* Build robust data pipelines using ADF, Databricks, and Synapse.
* Work in an agile delivery environment with regular integration and testing.
* Attend one in-person workshop per month in London.

Required Skills & Experience:
* Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse.
* Proven track record of delivering secure, performant data engineering solutions.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first setup.
* Active SC and NPPV3 clearance.
* Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.

Contract Details:
* Start Date: Within 2 weeks
* Rate: up to £475/day
* IR35: Outside IR35
* Location: Remote-first, with monthly on-site workshops in London
* Duration: 3 months initially, with strong potential for extension (2-3 year roadmap)

This is a great opportunity for a data engineer who thrives in secure, delivery-focused environments and wants to contribute to meaningful public sector outcomes. If you meet the clearance requirements and are ready to make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
