Freelance (Advanced SnowPro Certified) Snowflake Consultant

I'm seeking a German-based freelance Snowflake expert who is SnowPro Certified to join our client's team in Munich.

Pay Rate: up to €95.00 per hour

This is a hand-on role where you'll be responsible for designing, optimising and scaling their Snowflake solutions and strategy for large-scale data project roll-outs.

You'll be leading on DWH training and strategy, with 50% of your time allocated to overseeing the hands on migration activities for several legacy systems (+ a large volume of associated excel data).

Your Responsibilities:

• Architect and support with the implementation of advanced Snowflake data solutions.
• Support with the training & development for a Team of 6 Data Engineers (remote, global)
• Optimise the performance of large datasets and reduce costs where possible
• Build Snowpipes and integrations with ETL/ELT tools and BI
• Advise senior stakeholders from a strategic 'best practice' perspective for Snowflake

Required:

• Must be SnowPro Advanced Certified as Architect/Engineer
• You must have +5 years experience in cloud DWH-ing, with a minimum of 3 yrs experience with snowflake DWH projects (global system migration projects - nice to have)
• You must come coupled with strong SQL skills, including query optimisation
• Familiarity with AWS - proffered, and Azure / GCP ecosystem experience is also considered
• Compliance (gov frameworks, data security, GDPR) knowledge is desired.
• Prior freelance experience leading teams of data engineers is preferred
• Fluent German-speaking is nice to have.
