Freelance Lead Analytics Engineer (Snowflake)

Project length: 9 months
Rate: €85 per hour
Location: Hamburg
Working Pattern: Fully-remote
Start Date: 31st August 2025, or sooner

I've partnered with a leading German Consultancy who're in the process of roadmapping and will be planning to execute a greenfield project for a Hamburg-based Environmental Data & Analytic Insights end-client.

I'm looking to speak with experienced Freelance Analytic Engineers who can help in driving the greenfield project which aims to reinvent and build out the end -clients data platform from scratch.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable data models in Snowflake to drive analytics in a cross-functional environment (data models will power BI analytics and data applications using DBT and snowflake).
Work closely with stakeholders to identify and implement new and effective data solution.
Optimise performance of the data platform in terms of both scalability and reliability
Build data layers in dbt
Support the development of data architecture
Perform data cleansing transformation and validation, implementing the best practices for data quality and governance.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 3+ years freelancing experience working with both Snowflake and DBT
You must bring experience working with large-scale data systems and pipelines
Proficient in Python, CI pipelines and Data warehousing projects.
You must have proven experience in BI related roles

Nice to have...

Expertise in SQL, Azure, SSIS and Github code (repository experience)
