IO Associates is looking for a HSE Advisor to join their client's team. The HSE team is dedicated to fostering a positive culture that emphasizes all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment. Job Title:- HSE Advisor
Location:- Bristol, Romsey, Gloucester (Hybrid onsite working)
Duration:- 10 months
Up to 175 per day inside IR35
BPSS/SC cleared

Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities:-

  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to employees on various HSE matters.
  • Support the objectives of HSE management systems and strategies.
  • Conduct internal audits of HSE management systems.
  • Deliver comprehensive Health and Safety inductions to new employees.
  • Collaborate in HSE meetings, working groups, steering committees, and other forums to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in or lead HSE investigations as needed.
  • Manage HSE training requirements and platforms.
  • Coordinate with HR on occupational health, display screen equipment assessments, and other necessary adjustments.
  • Assist in Eco Online reviews and ensure accurate input of employee and environmental data.
  • Support the planning and execution of external audits, including ISO 45001, 45003, and 14001 management standards.
  • Ensure proper management and storage of HSE-related documents and artifacts for accessibility by stakeholders.

Skills required:-

NEBOSH HSE certificate (essential or working towards)
Proficiency in functional HSE management systems.
Familiarity with statutory tools and resources for decision support (e.g., HSE and Environment Agency websites).
Strong understanding of competency and when to provide advice.
