Job Title: IT Project Manager (Laptop Deployment)
Location: Greater London (Hybrid)
Rate: Up to £550/day (Inside IR35)
Start Date: End of October 2024
Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
Overview:
Seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale laptop deployment (5,000 devices) for a local authority. This hybrid role involves overseeing all aspects of the deployment, from procurement to rollout, ensuring smooth delivery within project timelines and budget.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of a 5,000 laptop deployment.
• Develop and maintain a project plan and budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement, logistics, and distribution.
• Mitigate risks and troubleshoot deployment issues.
• Provide regular updates and ensure compliance with IT security standards.
• Post-deployment support and project closure.

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in large-scale IT deployments.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2).
• Vendor management and IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

• Local authority experience.
• Certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).

This role requires flexibility between on-site and remote work and is inside IR35.
