Java Developer

Duration: 3 months (extended up to a year)

Rate: £350-£400

IR35 Status: Outside

Remote Status: Hybrid with some time in office at any of the UK locations

Our charity based client is looking for a Java Engineer to work within their team to uplift some of ther Java code bases to more recent library versions.

The initial contract is 3 months but has room to extend up to 1 year

Essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours:

• A cooperative way of working at pace with managers and other developers.
  
• Fluency with Java backend development, including working with modern Java-based API frameworks, such as Spring Boot/Jersey to develop REST-based APIs.
  
• Appreciation for Test Driven Development (TDD)
  
• Experience of implementing component level automated tests
  
• Good verbal and written English-language skills.
  

Desirable skills, knowledge, and behaviours:

• Experience with Java Restlet framework.
  
• Experience of working with Google Web Toolkit (GWT).
  
• In-depth knowledge and experience of working with Maven
  
• Working with Cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud.
  
• Knowledge of federated single sign-on using SAML protocol.
