Linux Engineer - OUTSIDE IR35 - Remote Working - 6 Month Contract


iO Associates are currently looking for a Linux Engineer to join my client on an intial 6-month contract role (project will be 12+ months) offering a competitive day rate (OUTSIDE IR35) for an immediate start. This role will offer remote working with the occasional visit to Bristol.

We're looking for a very hands on Linux SME who ideally comes from an open source background and has strong experience with Python - you need experience writing CI pipelines, not just using them.

Experience required:

• 8+ years experience as a Linux SME / Linux Engineer
• Linux Operating systems - Any flavor such as Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS
• Strong experience with Python
• Strong experience writing CI / CD pipelines
• Experience supporting Linux servers and desktop environments
• Maintaining and Supporting virtualization software and infrastructure
• Experience with security patching, including risk assessment for different environments
• Hands on hardware builds in a lab and Data Center environment
