A longstanding client of ours is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Purchase to join on a long-term contract to help manage suppliers Manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Managing suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues.
• Assist with matters around process improvements.
• Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
• Identify and support Cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategy

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)
• Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools.
• Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.
• Demonstrated passion for process re-design and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of basic manufacturing process (Milling, Turning, welding, investment and sand casting, Forging)
• Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
