As a Network Engineer (SCION), you'll play a crucial role in optimizing and improving network performance. You'll work with SCION-based networks, focusing on planning, implementation, and maintenance.

Here's what you'll be responsible for:

Design and Implementation

Create network solutions based on the SCION Internet Architecture.
Configure and manage SCION routers, border routers, and other network components.

Integration

Integrate SCION solutions into existing network infrastructures and applications.

Automation and Orchestration

Develop workflows for efficient SCION network management and scalability.

Testing and Troubleshooting

Ensure the reliability and performance of the SCION infrastructure through testing, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.

Collaboration

Work closely with other teams to understand requirements and develop customized SCION solutions alongside other focus areas within the network team.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Completed training or studies in the field of IT or a similar qualification.
Experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining SCION networks.
Certifications in the network area are a benefit.

Technical Skills

In-depth Cisco expertise.
Expert understanding of network protocols and architectures regarding SCION.
Knowledge of programming and automation (Python, Bash, Shell…)
